This blog is a memoir from my stomach to my brain and interpreted by my fingers.
I love to run. Besides cooking/baking/traveling, running is one of my favorite pastimes. My mom recently told me that when I’m being a brat she knows I need to strap on my kicks and go for a jog. I replied to her and said that when I’m being a brat it means my blood sugar is low and I need a cookie. It’s one or the other. In the fall of 2013, I will be running my 3rd marathon. woo!
I hope you like all the recipes, photos, traveling, rants, and love stories I post up in hurrrr. My amazing parents taught me the basics. I still text my dad pictures of steak I want to buy for dinner that night because I SUCK at buying steak. Thanks J!
All the recipes, unless noted, are from my own brain. I use inspirations from others but really enjoy making it up as I go.
I hope you enjoy what you find here!

When are we going to get a recipe for chicken fingers or your famuse Mac and cheese?
where is the cake ball recipe?????
I was just looking at your sesame crusted salmon recipe. Decided to check out your “about” and I’m quite amazed to find you went to Amherst. Even with me being English, I was offered a soccer scholarship there went I was 18. I decided to stay in the UK, do my maths degree and see where it took me. Luckily I ended up driving aeroplanes so it all worked out well in the end. Who knows what life would be though had I went.
Wow! That’s pretty great they made you an offer! I played on the club team for 3 years before taking my final senior year off from soccer to work more. Do you still play? Thank you so much for visiting my blog and checking out my recipes!
I don’t play anymore. I can’t commit to anything because of work. Plus I keep managing to injure myself every time I play. Just live in the gym and run these days.
